Pince et pelle de cheminée Fer forgé Adalbert SZABO (1877-1961) Art Déco

Ensemble de pince et pelle pour la cheminée en fer forgé, par Adalbert SZABO (1877-1961) vers 1940. Longueur de la pelle 71 cm, pour les pinces 69.2cm. Poids de l'ensmble 2.866 kg. Bel état, une soudure sous la rosace des pinces, le ressort est détendu. Adalbert Szabo (1877-1961)ferronnier d'origine hongroise installé à Paris au début du XXe siècle. Il est bien connu pour ses travaux d'une qualité d'atelier et d'une finesse remarquable et attire de nombreux élèves et apprentis talentueux. Ainsi, Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), qui fut d'abord ferronnier avant de devenir architecte et dessinateur de mobilier et de bâtiments, y suivit son apprentissage. Il a réalisé ses premières œuvres en fer forgé. Les ateliers Szabo ont également réalisé les grilles du Navire Normandie ou celles de la grotte de Lourdes.

French Art Deco wrought iron fireplace tools by Adalbert Szabo (1877-1961) during the 1940's. They measure for the shovel 28" (71cm) length and for the tongs 27 1/4" (69.2cm), weight for the set 6lb 5.10oz (2.866 kilograms). The tongs are signed. Beautiful condition a welding on the tongs and the spring is slightly soft, as shown by the following pictures. Adalbert SZABO (1877-1961) ironworker of Hungarian origin settled in Paris in the early twentieth century. Its well known for his works of workshop quality and remarkable finesse and attracted many talented students and apprentices. Thus, Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), which was first ironworker before becoming architect and designer of furniture and buildings, there followed his apprenticeship. It realized his first works in wrought iron. The workshops Szabo also realized the Ship Normandy grids or those of the Lourdes grotto.
