Fauteuil Louis XIII alsacien en bois de noyer massif sculpté à la main début du XIX° siècle. Son haut dossier est dans le prolongement de ses pieds, reliés par une entretoise en H tournée de colonnes torses à double évolutions comme ses pieds antérieurs qui supportent ses accotoirs en os de mouton sculpté de feuillages. Il est recouvert d'une tapisserie aux petits points légèrement usée à deux endroits. Le fût est en bel état et chevillé pour ses montants arrières. Hauteur totale 113 cm, hauteur assise 45 cm, largeur 58.5 cm, profondeur 59 cm.

For our English-speaking friends: Rare antique French carved baroque armchair in solid walnut all hand carving made early in the 19th century. The high back stands on the feet with H shaped cross made with double mouvements . The sheep bone shaped arms are carved with leaves. the armchair is covered with needlepoint tapestry probably from the end of the 19th century. Perfect condition for the wood only the tapestry has 2 or 3 worn as you can see on the pictures below. 44"1/2 high overall 17"1/2 sitting high 23" width 23" depth.
