Jument Turc en bronze à patine brune par Antoine Louis Barye (1795-1875). Belle pouliche pur sang les deux antérieurs levés sur terrasse moulurée non signée, elle exprime la crainte face à ce mal dit piaffant en colère. Elle fait pendant au cheval turc n°4 dont un exemplaire est exposé à l'institut des arts de Chicago, sur une terrasse similaire. Hauteur 23.8 cm, longueur 24.5 cm, largeur 8 cm.

For our English-speaking friends: Mare Turk in solid bronze made by the famous French artist Antoine Louis Barye (1795-1875)during the second half of the 19th century. This lovely thoroughbred rearing mare stands on moulding base not signed.This sculpture made pair with the Turk horse number 4 exhibits in the Art Institute of Chicago with the same pedestal. 9 1/2" high 9 5/8" length 3 1/8 width. Perfect condition with beautiful patina.
