Pichet en grès émaillé, né vers 1920 en forme de tonnelet de la célèbre Société Denert et Balichon, à Vierzon (inscrite à la Chambre de commerce le 6 janvier 1921). C' est la contraction des deux noms qui donne naissance à la signature Denbac. Le pichet est en parfait état et est signé sur le fond de la marque en noir. Hauteur 20 cm, diamètre 11.5 cm.

For our English-speaking friends: This pitcher cask shapped has been made by Denbac around 1918 in an Art Nouveau form and charming arts and crafts glazes. It is in mint condition and signed Denbac on the bottom. 8" tall, 4"1/2 width.Denbac biography: This art pottery was made between 1909 and 1952 in Vierzon, France. The pottery was formed by a talented artist/ceramist, René Denert, and his business partner, René-Louis Balichon - hence the name, Denbac. Modern style molding and complex coloring and glazes were their trademarks. Unfortunately, after the war and the deaths of the two partners, a pottery that was more about art than production could not last and it closed in 1952.
