Pot à tabac en marbre Rouge Royal d'époque Directoire-Empire, au plus tard début du XIXème siècle. Il est en forme de baril, son bouchon de bois d'if n'est pas d'origine. L'ensemble est en bel état. Hauteur 20 cm, diamètre 13,5 cm.

For our English-speaking friends: Rare hand carved red marble tobacco jar made in France early 19 th century Empire Napoleonic period. The barrel shaped jar has has a yew tree lid unfortunately not original. Perfect condition. 7 7/8" heigh 5 3/8" diameter. You can see a same tobacco jar in the Tobacco Museum in Paris.
