Boite ou coffret en lacque du Japon, fin de l'ère Edo ou début de l'époque Meiji. Ce travail vient de la fusion du procédé japonais de décoration maki-e, effectué en saupoudrant de fines poudres de métaux de différentes teintes, l'or avant le séchage du laque, or et argent après. Il est orné d'ibis volants au dessus d'un éventail, de fleurs et du mont Fuji porte bonheur. Il est signé sur la face. Il est en bon état malgré les accidents visibles sur les photographies. Largeur 36 cm, profondeur 22 cm, épaisseur 8 cm.

For our English-speaking friends: Box in Japan lacquer made at the end of the Edo period or at the beginning of the Meiji period. This maki-e work made with gold before the drying of the laque and with gold and silver after. The hand working pattern depicts flowers ibis fan and the Fuji mountain symbol of the happiness.
